2008 Rules
Suspension-
Stock suspension only, no 4links or
ladder bars. Minitubs ok. Sub frame
connectors ok.
Chassis-
Stock frame rails from front to rear, no
back half cars, no full tube chassis
cars
Engine-
Any size engine ok. No sheet metal
intakes, cast only. Single carburetor
only. Fuel injection ok. Gasoline only,
alcohol not permitted.
Exhaust-
Mufflers required.
Transmission-
Any production automatic transmission
ok. Any production type manual ok.
Transbrakes ok.
Wheelie
bars-
Not allowed.
Power
adders-
Only one power adder permitted per car,
racers cannot use nitrous and forced
induction together. Also, if a vehicle
is teched in as naturally aspirated any
nitrous bottles must be removed and
lines capped off.
Nitrous Oxide-
Single stage only. Plate systems use one
set of solenoids (one fuel, one nitrous)
Foggers use two sets of solenoids (2
fogger, 2 nitrous). Nitrous progressors
ok. Only one bottle allowed in car.
Turbo -
Single turbo only. Air to
air and air to water intercoolers ok.
Air to water intercoolers must drain
water and are not allowed to use dry
ice. Maximum inlet size 88mm. Use of
nitrous oxide (either through the turbo
or on the intercooler) is prohibited.
Supercharger –
Maximum one supercharger.
Paxtons will
be limited to no larger than a Novi
2000, Vortech no larger than YSI-Trim,
and Procharger
no larger than F1-R. Roots style
superchargers will be limited to a 10-71
casing. Air to Air intercoolers okay,
air to water intercoolers must be
drained of water and no dry ice. Use of
nitrous oxide (either through the turbo
or on the intercooler) is prohibited.
Wheels/Tires-
Wheels will be allowed a maximum width
of 10”. This will be measured. Tires
will be teched
by the sidewall designation, no W tires
allowed.
Slicks- 28” x 10.5” Maximum.
Drag Radials- Any size ok.
DOT Slicks-
DOT approved slicks (Mickey Thompson ET
Street, etc.) will be classified with
Slicks and must meet the 28” x 10.5”
maximum requirement.
Body-
No chopping or channeling allowed.
Quarter panels may be “massaged” in the
case of tire clearance issues. With the
exception of the hood and bumpers, no
fiberglass permitted. No lexan or
plexiglass
windows allowed with the exception of
pickups with rear extending bars for the
roll cage. Headlights and taillights
must be intact and functioning. Cowl
induction hoods only with the exception
of naturally aspirated cars. Naturally
aspirated cars will be allowed to run a
hood scoop.
Interior-
Must retain full
interior, full carpet, door panels, and
2 functions seats. If car is equipped
with electric windows they must be
functioning. Dashboard required.
Weights-
All weights are minimums and must be
met.
Small block
Naturally
Aspirated 2,800 lbs.
Nitrous Oxide
3,000 lbs.
Forced
Induction 3,200 lbs.
Big Block
Naturally
Aspirated 3,100 lbs.
Nitrous Oxide
3,300 lbs.
Forced
Induction 3,500 lbs.
Format-
All qualifying and racing will be done
on a .400 pro tree. Racing will be 1/8th
mile and heads up. First to the finish
wins. Red lights are disqualified.
Qualifying-
There will be 2 rounds of qualifying. A
minimum of one qualifying run must be
made in order to compete. Cars will
qualify onto an 8 car sportsman ladder
(1 vs. 5, 2 vs. 6, etc.) Number 9 and 10
qualifiers will be used as alternates in
the event a racer cannot make first
round. Reaction times will be used as
tie breakers.
Racing-
Although deep staging is allowed but it
is not guaranteed, it is the
responsibility of the racer to ensure he
his staged. All racing will be run on an
automatic tree. Round 1 lane choice will
go the better qualified car. Each round
thereafter will go to the faster car
from the previous round, in the event of
a tie; the reaction time will be the
determining factor.
Event Schedule-
Events will be run on Flat Out Friday,
the second Friday night of every month.

Purse/Entry-
Purse will be 80% of whatever is paid in
at entry. Entry is $35 for car and
driver and is to be paid at the gate
upon entry.
Rules
are subject to change without
notification. Race director or Tech
official reserves the right to disallow
any entry if it is not felt said entry
meets the spirit of the class. Any class
rule interpretation will be at the
discretion of Tech official or Race
Director. General track rules apply at
all times. All cars are subject to
random inspection. If random inspection
is denied, car is automatically
disqualified
